The product appraisal meeting for the NPS28 Class900 high‑temperature large‑bore forced‑seal ball valve, jointly organized by China Machinery Industry Federation and China General Machinery Industry Association, was successfully held in Chengdu from August 12 to 13, 2026. The successful appraisal marks another milestone for Chengdu Chenggao Valve in the localization of high‑end valves.
The appraisal committee consists of senior experts from China’s valve and petrochemical engineering sectors. Sui Yongbin, former Chief Engineer of China Machinery Industry Federation, served as Chairman of the appraisal committee. Together with six well‑known industry experts from Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd., Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Company, Sinopec Engineering Incorporation, PetroChina East China Design Institute Co., Ltd., China Chengda Engineering Co., Ltd. and PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd., they formed the full appraisal committee.
The appraisal meeting was presided over by Huang Li, President of China General Machinery Industry Association. Zhang Zonglie, Vice‑President of China General Machinery Industry Association, attended the meeting. Ding Qi, Chairman of the company, was present and delivered a welcome speech.
Experts of the appraisal committee and participants inspected the company’s production and test sites, witnessed part of the factory tests, listened to the development summary report, and reviewed documents covering design, manufacturing, testing, inspection and quality assurance. Thorough technical inquiries and discussions were also carried out.
The appraisal committee concluded that the developed high‑temperature large‑bore forced‑seal ball valve features independent intellectual property rights and fills the domestic technical gap. Its key technical parameters and performance indicators have reached the advanced international level of similar products. The product can be promoted and applied in petrochemical, coal chemical, natural gas gathering & transmission, metallurgy and other industries.
This appraisal meeting serves as a comprehensive review of Chengdu Chenggao Valve’s technological innovation and manufacturing capabilities. It also acts as an important platform for the enterprise to connect with top‑tier industrial resources and accelerate its market layout for high‑end valves.
