Recently, the new‑product appraisal meeting for the PDH Intelligent Programmable High‑Performance Special Gate Valve (NPS24‑Class300), organized by China General Machinery Industry Association, was successfully held at Zhejiang Boteli Technology Co., Ltd.

Through on‑site inspection, test witnessing, document review and inquiry discussion by the expert panel, the product has passed the new‑product appraisal. It reaches the leading technical level in China, successfully breaking import dependence for similar products under such working conditions, and delivering a localized key valve solution for China’s PDH propane dehydrogenation chemical plants.

The appraisal committee is composed of authoritative industry experts from research institutes and engineering design entities, including Hefei General Machinery Research Institute, Sinopec Engineering Incorporation, China Huanqiu Engineering, Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd., PetroChina East China Design Institute, Zhejiang University‑Wenzhou Institute, and the Pump & Valve Research Center of Lanzhou University of Technology.

Prior to the appraisal meeting, the expert panel conducted an on‑site visit to Boteli’s production and test facility, fully witnessed the factory performance tests of the product, and comprehensively reviewed complete sets of technical documents such as design drawings, process files and type test reports. During the meeting, the R&D team gave a detailed presentation covering the product’s R&D background, key technology development process and innovation highlights. They responded item‑by‑item to technical questions raised by experts, which fully verified the rationality of product design and manufacturing reliability.

PDH (Propane Dehydrogenation) serves as a core process route for propylene production. The plant features stringent process conditions, where valves are exposed to complex working conditions including high temperature, frequent cyclic opening‑closing and medium erosion over long‑term operation. Extremely high requirements are imposed on sealing stability, actuation control accuracy and equipment safety reliability. For a long time, key valves of this specification have been heavily reliant on imports, representing a special‑valve category targeted for critical R&D in the petrochemical equipment sector.

Boteli’s newly‑launched PDH intelligent programmable high‑performance special gate valve is custom‑developed for working conditions of propane dehydrogenation units. Equipped with an in‑house developed intelligent programmable control system, the valve enables fast and frequent opening‑closing with precisely adjustable stroke time.
