Entering this new computing power track, the person in charge of Langer Valve described the breakthrough as seizing opportunities amid challenges. The company previously specialized in marine valves. To adapt to the trend of miniaturization of marine equipment, it launched product iteration and R&D three years ago: while maintaining full performance, the product size was reduced to 30% of the original. Coincidentally, the technical requirements for valves used in computing power centers are similar to those for marine applications. Earlier this year, this R&D achievement was spotted by an overseas enterprise sourcing valves globally, securing the order for Langer Valve.

Yongjia hosts China’s largest and most concentrated production base for the pump and valve industry, home to over 4,000 pump, valve and supporting enterprises. In 2025, the output value of above-scale pump-valve enterprises exceeded 23 billion yuan. Petrochemicals have long been the largest application market for pumps and valves. In recent years, accelerated replacement by new energy has weakened China’s refined oil consumption and slowed investment in refining and chemical projects, continuously narrowing growth space in the traditional petrochemical pump-valve market.

How to break through? Yongjia has proposed to revolutionize its pump-valve industry, leveraging new technologies, new markets and new opportunities to remove bottlenecks restricting industrial development.

Langer Valve seized the AI computing power boom by pre-emptively developing compact, high-performance butterfly valves. Zhisheng Valve secured qualification to supply spare parts for the aerospace sector through strict quality control over raw materials and castings, embarking on a path toward high-end transformation. According to the management of Zhisheng Valve, its aerospace-related orders this year have reached 20 million yuan, accounting for roughly 40% of total output value.

Local authorities also guide enterprises to adopt AI to upgrade pump-valve manufacturing technologies. Supported by Wenzhou’s “AI Industry Translator” program, Bethel Valve’s AI intelligent quotation system integrates large language models and machine learning algorithms to automate the full workflow: demand analysis, model matching and precise quotation. Its quotation response speed has improved by more than 80%. The Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Manufacturing at Wenzhou University has developed an AI autonomous painting robotic arm to address industry pain points such as high labor costs and occupational health risks in valve spraying. The robot, now in the pilot test phase, can automatically identify the contours of complex workpieces and generate optimal spraying paths. In the future, the spraying process will no longer rely solely on the experience of veteran workers.

This industrial transformation has freed Yongjia’s pump-valve products from over-reliance on the traditional petrochemical market, expanding into diverse sectors including new energy, offshore engineering equipment, aerospace, hydrogen energy & LNG storage and transportation, and low-altitude economy. In the first seven months of this year, the year-on-year growth rate of output value of Yongjia’s above-scale pump-valve enterprises hit 10.4%.

Yongjia will continue to optimize land supply to ensure fast-growing enterprises have enough room to expand. “We have launched the ‘100 Enterprises, 1,000 Mu’ land supply initiative, striving to provide 1,000 mu of industrial land annually for three consecutive years starting this year. So far this year, 570 mu of industrial land has been supplied in Yongjia, exceeding the total amount for the whole of last year,” said Shao Zhan, Director of Yongjia Bureau of Economy and Information Technology.
