Recently, reporters visited the workshop of Lishui Ouyi Valve Co., Ltd., where automated production lines were running at full capacity. Workers were busy manufacturing ball valve orders destined for Saudi Arabia. “This single order is worth 200 million yuan, and our production lines are operating at full load,” said Chen Chao, Deputy General Manager of the company, brimming with enthusiasm. Rooted in Liandu for 17 years, the enterprise exports 70% of its products to more than 50 countries including Germany, Italy and Turkey.
In the high-end overseas market, Ouyi Valve has carved out a niche relying on precision and strict standards. Xing Zhili, Technical Manager, stated: “The roundness precision and surface finish of the ball are key indicators of product quality.” The company imported custom large integrated turning-grinding machining centers for sizes from 8 to 64 inches. It keeps the precision error of valve balls within 0.02 mm, exceeding international market standards, and lifting production efficiency by 50%. Meanwhile, Ouyi Valve operates in strict accordance with ISO9001 standards, implementing full-process quality control from raw material procurement to production and delivery.
In the upstream supply chain segment, Zhejiang Chaoda Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd. focuses on the segmented field of castings and forgings. At present, it supplies products in small batches to nearby supporting enterprises. Once its production capacity is fully released, it will effectively reinforce the upstream supporting links of the industrial chain. The company signed an investment agreement of 1.12 billion yuan in 2024 for a project with an annual output of 20,000 tons of precision castings and forgings. Trial production kicked off in April this year, and it achieved the status of above-scale industrial enterprise three months later, consolidating the foundation for strengthening and supplementing the industrial chain. According to Cai Liyong, the person in charge, Liandu was chosen as the settlement location because “customers are right around the corner”.
After 17 years of development, Liandu’s valve industry has formed a full industrial chain cluster covering castings and forgings, precision processing, inspection and sales. It boasts 129 above-scale industrial enterprises. Its output value exceeded 9.44 billion yuan in 2025, with an average annual growth rate as high as 25.98% over the past three years. The precision ball valve industrial cluster has been listed as a Provincial Characteristic Industrial Cluster for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
Relevant officials from Liandu Bureau of Economy and Information Technology stated that going forward, Liandu will focus on project investment attraction, enterprise cultivation and manufacturing transformation to further expand the characteristic industrial cluster of SMEs specialized in precision ball valves and support valve enterprises in realizing intelligent transformation and upgrading.
